Erik D. Fuglestad is a Senior Director of Product Solutions at Zelis Healthcare. Erik has more than 24 years of experience in healthcare reimbursement from the perspective of both the provider and the payer, with 18 years related specifically to dialysis. His extensive knowledge of Self-Insured Group Health Plans, PPO Networks and Healthcare Cost Containment programs makes him a valuable part of the team. Erik graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Spanish from UMASS Dartmouth. His experience working for both large and small dialysis companies gives him a unique perspective on reimbursement that is unmatched in the industry. Erik enjoys spending time with his family as well as playing Ice Hockey, Golfing and doing anything at the beach.
Mr. Somerville oversees business process engineering and improvement. Darren has held various financial management positions in 3 prominent pharmaceutical companies. His experience includes External Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis and Marketing finance. Darren also held key positions on several high profile business teams including an enterprise wide SAP implementation team, two business integration teams and the lead finance role on a UK based team dedicated to driving revenue growth of a strategic Consumer Healthcare brand. He has a BA in Accounting and minor in Computer Science from Lynchburg College in Virginia and an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, N.J. Darren enjoys traveling, reading and attending sporting events.
Mr. Nigro is Senior Director, Claims Services delivering a variety of services, including, but limited to negotiated settlements with signed releases, medical bill reviews/audits, and pricing data (e.g., U&C/UCR, Medicare, etc.). John has more than 31 years of insurance claims and customer service operations experience, as well as over 15 years of combined experience with self-funding, third party administration, stop-loss insurance and reinsurance. Before joining EthiCare in the summer of 2011, John held several claims and operations management positions with large insurance carriers, third party administrators, a managing general underwriter of medical stop-loss insurance and a reinsurance carrier. In a prior role, John performed aggregate and Spaggregate claim audits, specific claim reviews and operational reviews of third party administrators for a consulting firm. John enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Sletager is a Regional Vice President on the Sales team. Sam has 9 years of cost containment experience serving clients in the self-funded insurance industry, where he managed business development activities for several cost containment organizations. He has an extensive working knowledge of Dialysis, PPO Networks, Stop Loss and Negotiations. Sam is a graduate of the University of Idaho where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a minor in Marketing. He is an avid outdoorsman and sports enthusiast that enjoys fishing, skiing and hunting as well as a number of other activities.
Mr. Breen is a Regional Vice President on the Sales team. George has over 20 years of large group employee benefits experience, concentrating on cost containment alternatives and solutions for self-insured entities. He is an expert in Stop Loss insurance, PPO Networks, Negotiations and Cost Effective Plan Designs. George is a graduate of Rutgers University and currently holds an active Health and Life Insurance License in the State of New Jersey. Living in Central New Jersey, George is a proud father of three and enjoys playing golf and participating in The Autism Awareness Community.
Ms. Vazzana is a Registered Nurse having received an Associate of Applied Science degree in nursing from Felician College in Lodi, N.J. and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from The College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, N.J. Barbara has more than 32 years of clinical experience and formerly held positions in a medical and surgical department, emergency department, a pediatric office, post operative cardiac unit, pre admission testing department and a same day surgery facility. Barbara enjoys gardening, the Jersey shore, and spending time with family and friends.
Ms. Serratelli has worked prior as a patient claims administrator for a leading physical therapy provider in the NY/NJ metro area. Over the years, Wendy has held both writing and administrative positions in various industries, including retail advertising, public relations and real estate marketing. A graduate of Valparaiso University in Indiana, she holds a BA degree in English. In addition, she received her certification in medical billing and coding from Avtec Institute of Technology in New Jersey. Wendy’s favorite pastimes include poetry writing, yoga, vegetarian cooking and gardening.
Mr. Brink is a decorated United States Marine having enlisted and served during the Desert Storm conflict in the Persian Gulf. Bob has held several positions including management in the customer service and hospitality industries. He enjoys outdoor activities with his children including leisure days at the park, photography, model aviation and golf.
Ms. Cruz oversees corporate compliance, finance, and administration including human resources and benefits administration. Carla has been an Office Manager for close to 20 years, with previous positions in the Market Research and Biomedical industries. She also has extensive experience working with various accounting, payroll and CRM software. Carla enjoys traveling, being with family and friends, reading and cooking.
